Facilities

Library

The Library collection is geared towards providing materials and audio visual aids to support the teaching, learning activities of the school. Lombeta Secondary School is library contains one of the best and up-to-date book collections in different fields. The library is well equipped with a collection of books, newspapers, research reports and learning packages in all relevant fields of study.

Science Laboratory

Lombeta Secondary School is science departments are well equipped with Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories that provide necessary facilities with modern and excellent equipment for demonstration, experimentation and project work at various levels. The school’s science labs are designed, equipped and built according to the required specifications and safety norms as advised by the Tanzania’s Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, and allow for practical, hands on experimental approach which develops students to become scientists. The laboratories therefore provide avenue to the students to work effectively and enabling them to understand the various facets of Science.

Computer Laboratory

The barrage of information through technology presents marvelous opportunities to make learning more exciting & experiential. At Lombeta Secondary School IT facilities are an important part of the teaching, learning and experience. The school is endowed with a very well equipped computer lab for our students with well experienced teachers. Our Information Technology facility is a fully networked computer laboratory with individual work stations for a full class, to computers in the library for student research

 

Academic Excellence

The school has lived to its motto we are for education prayer and work because ever since it started it has ensured that all students pass at both levels. The school is very proud of its visible academic achievements especially in the past National examinations. 

The results achieved are encouraging due to the fact that the school does not specialize in enrolling highest performers only. This is to say that the entry status of our student may be very low and yet the outcome is impressive. This is attributed to the great devotion of the teachers, the facilities offered by the owners, the excellent teaching environment to mention but a few. 

Motivated teachers

The school has very well trained motivated and experienced staff to deliver the right knowledge and skills to the students. The school has enough teachers all the time to teach the students.


Experienced teachers are more effective in raising student achievement than their less experienced counterparts. This happens not just because experienced teachers are more likely to work in schools and classrooms with more advantaged students. It is true that, experienced teachers are more effective than teachers with fewer years of classroom experience.

It is a delight to welcome you to Lombeta Secondary School and to our website.  We at    Lombeta believe that we have created a most special school. Blessed with inquisitive and thoughtful students, outstanding and caring teachers, and helpfully involved parents, the school offers a unique blend of seemingly contradictory attributes that make it special in so many ways.

We are a Form I – VI secondary school - having students of about 250 - yet on a spacious campus of some 20 acres. Traditional in its values and high expectations, we also possess wonderfully creative departments, teaching lessons/subjects incorporating both competence and

content based, as well as cutting edge methodologies. As an integral part of the Lombeta’s, the school stresses moral and spiritual growth while welcoming and celebrating students of all faiths. Challenging academics always include a network of support and caring. As the ancient Greeks recognized thousands of years ago, “To educate the mind without also fostering character was to fall short”. Thus, at Lombeta's we strive to develop not only critical thinkers, but also persons of integrity; we hope for not only successful and happy students, but also ones full of kindness and concern for the well being of others.
